The feast day approaches! Warms my Irish heart to see St. Patrick's Day become a full fledged event in Los Angeles. Whether green beer, Irish dancing or Leprechaun slasher movies are your thing, here are a couple of events that won't cost you a pot of gold! Erin Go Braugh!
Have a green lunch! Check out the St. Patrick's Day Free Lunchtime Concert Celebration at Pershing Square. The Young Dubliners with the Los Angeles Police Emerald Society Pipes and Drums Band & Irish Dancers and Bagpipers perform. Show starts at 11:30 am.Lunch will also be available for purchase.

St. Patrick's Day Pub Crawl
For the second year in a row, more than 20 area venues are set to participate in this bar event, which bills itself as the world's largest pub crawl.Save some green with an early admission ticket is $10. General admission is $20. Ticket covers you for entrance to participating bars--the drinks are your responsibilty. Crawl starts at 12 noon and goes till 2 a.m. The Pig N Whistle (6714 Hollywood Boulevard) is the starting point, contact the restaurant for more details.

Leprechan Slasher Movies
Or for something unusual, Celebrate St. Patty's slasher-style. If you love the Leprechaun movies, head over to Cinefamily (611 N Fairfax Avenue) for a special screening of Leprachaun 3 and Leprechaun 4. Also, if schedule permits, Brian Trenchard-Smith, director of the films will make an appearance between films to participate in a Q&A. Show starts at 8pm.
