Well, this falls under the heading of the one that got away. I missed it this month so mark your calendar for October 1 for First Friday on Abbott Kinney Blvd.
Once a month the gourmet food trucks of the city line up along the Blvd. in a spontaneous restaurant row. Shops and galleries stay open late adding to the street fair vibe. The Brig (1515 Abbott Kinney Blvd.) is considered the epicenter of this event.
The official hours are 6:00p.m. - 10:00p.m but those in the know say arrive early to get decent parking and the best selection of food. Apparently,the Grilled Cheese truck is worth the wait.
It sounds like a blast. No admission fee, but bring money for metered parking, food and maybe a little shopping.
