Cheap & Cheerful Mondays at MOCA - Downtown

Museum are usually closed on Mondays, but then there is little that is usual about MOCA's GEFFEN CONTEMPORARY (152 North Central Avenue)

Thanks to Street Artist, Bansky, Mondays are free for the remainder of ART IN THE STREETS June 13 - August 8, 11 am - 5pm.

Art in the Streets is the first major U.S. museum survey of graffiti and street art. The exhibition traces the development of graffiti and street art from the 1970s to today with paintings, mixed media sculptures, and interactive installations by 50 of the most dynamic artists. Los Angeles's role in the evolution of graffiti is given considerable attention, with special sections dedicated to cholo graffiti and Dogtown skateboard culture.

And if you can't catch the exhibit, please know that The Geffen Contemporary at MOCA is is regularly free on Thursdays from 5-8pm.
