I've always been a fan of Melrose Avenue, a truly LA shopping Street. Well Melrose Night (Melrose Avenue between N. Ogden St. and Stanley Avenue) offers a really great way to check it out. Held on the first Thursday night of the month (as in tomorrow night, folks)Melrose Night features popular food trucks as well as extended hours and special promotions in the shops that line the street. It's fun, festive and delicious.
Melrose Night runs from 6:00pm - 10:00pm
The fine folks at Sportie LA shoes(7753 Melrose Avenue) and Barracuda (7769 Melrose Avenue) are nice enough to offer free parking in their lots for the event. Return the favor by checking out their stores. Your other option is metered or street parking but be sure to read the signs before you walk away from you car, as the terms vary from block to block.
