If you have never been to Oxnard, the annual Oxnard Salsa Festival in Plaza Park (5th and B Street)is one of the best ways to be introduced to a seaside town that is an hour's drive and a world away.
Food, dancing, bands, shopping, kids korner, crafts, salsa contest... even a 5K Salsa Dash. The Oxnard Salsa festival is a city-wide party worth checking out.
The fun starts tonight with a kick-off concert. Gates open at 5:30pm with the show starting at 7:00pm General Admission is $5.00. Feel free to pack a picnic.
The festival will be open 11 am to 7 pm Saturday & Sunday. Admission is free and complimentary parking will be available throughout downtown Oxnard.
