Cheap & Cheerful Shot of the Hollywood Sign

Tourists and Angelenos alike love having their picture taken with the Hollywood sign. And why not, it's not every day you are seen with a Hollywood Icon!

There are a number of ways to do it. It's all a function of time.

The most hassle free way is from the Hollywood and Highland shopping center. The sign can be seen from the center court--position yourself on the railing of one of the higher floors and it will appear in the distance. Bring a zoom lens for better results.

Or take Hollywood Blvd east to Beachwood, Turn left and you will be headed into Beachwood Canyon with the Hollywood sign right in front of you. Park on the side of the road and snap away. Or continue to the Beachwood Market. Stand in the parking lot with the sign over your left shoulder. (and buy something from the market while you are at it)

For the truly intrepid, continue up Beachwood and hike up to the sign--which is fenced in--but you still can get pretty close.
