Cheap & Cheerful Museum Visit- Pomona

I Love when I come across a gem. I don't get out to Pomona often (usually has to do with the County Fair) but if you find yourself in Pomona, you MUST check out the American Museum of Ceramic Art, aka AMOCA (340 S. Garey Avenue)

Located one block away from Antique Row on 2nd street, this lovely little museum is the only one of it's kind on the west coast. Both antiquities and modern pieces are on display in an inviting and well lit space. I got to view some amazing catrina dolls from Dia de los Muertos (Day of the Dead) celebrations. as well as some astounding pottery.

Pondered it all over a $10 all you can eat buffet at Angelo's Pizzeria on 2nd street.

AMOCA is open Wed.-Sat., 12 noon-5:00 pm & 2nd Saturday of the month, 12 noon-9:00 pm
Admission is $3.00 for Adults, $2.00 for Students & Seniors, Children 12 and under are free.
