Swap Meet, Flea Market, Trading Post. Call it what you will, trolling markets of second hand items is an outdoor sport in Los Angeles.
While the Melrose Trading Post (7850 Melrose Avenue) is a far cry from the Rose Bowl Swap Meet, it has does have an advantage in that it is a weekly event. Staged in to parking lot of Fairfax High School (SE corner of Melrose and Fairfax) from 9:00am to 5:00pm every Sunday, shoppers can browse through an array of clothing, furniture, art, jewelry,records (remember those?) and bric a brac The scene is complete with food vendors and live entertainment.
Admission is $3.00 for adults. $1.00 for Children
Metered street parking is available, the early bird gets the good spot.
